Setting up 2 different controller types

Hello!

I am currently at work and have no tried Lakka yet but I had a question. I have been struggling setting up RetroPie to work with a keyboard as player 1 and a wired XBox One controller as player 2.

Is this possible in Lakka? Can you mix and match different controllers for different players? If so I will definitely be switching over. From what I’ve read after doing some searches is that Lakka is much easier to setup.

Thanks!

Hello, yes this is possible.

First, make sure you’re using the latest release.

Then, go to settings, input settings, set the user #1 inputs to retrokeypad and bind all keys. And set the user #2 inputs to retrojoypad and bind all keys.

Hello! Thank you for the reply. I tried what you said but the only option was RetroPad. Do I need a nightly build to select joypad/keypad?

Thanks!

Ah, maybe the xbox one pad is not recognized? Let me check, there is this file added 12 days ago https://github.com/libretro/retroarch-joypad-autoconfig/blob/master/udev/Microsoft_X-Box_One_pad.cfg

So it should be present in our latest builds.

It worked! Thank you for making this so easy to configure!
