Shader / Scanline trouble on Big HDTV!

Hello , each and every single one of yall  :hushed:

This is my beef…

And it’s pretty much clear that it is an shader issue !!
But what am i gonna do about it, duck doesnt know … !

On my computer monitor , everything is drawn pretty accurate and nice. No problem there, just fyi …

But on my other screen HDTV, every couple mm from top to bottom i get to see 3 black intrusieve lines …

Have toyed with every video output setting i could get my hand on … Aspect ratios set by Core and/or by RA, cropping settings, different resolutions etc etc… but allas … nothing helps !

Watch the black lines ↓ !!

HzoM4G1.md.jpg

Especialy in bright scenes it acts up !!

The shader iam using is shared in my other thread over HERE

Maybe someone knows how and what to change in the shader files to solve this :crossed_fingers: .

To quote the poor innocents from BO and BO 2

“Please Help Me kind Sir…”

if not, thanks anyway for reading my plea …

Cheers TD

What are you after: no black lines or consistent evenly spaced black lines? What it looks like to me is that the image is being scaled after the scanlines have been output or the shaders implementation doesn’t support non integer scaling. Try integer scaling and see where that gets you.

THAT ↑ RIGHT THERE my benevolent friend is the “treasure” i am after  :ok_hand:

And you would be right

LIke i said in my initial post… I have thought of the scaling setting too…

But changing scaling in RA/Core to even Integer gpu scaling with Integer Overscan doesn’t help either !!

Also, by “scaling” you also are refering to the Aspect Ratio and not only the Cropped settings, don’t you?

I have double checked it, and again… On my computer monitor it looks almost perfect (evenly spread scanlines  ) BUT ONLY IN WINDOW MODE, it looks perfect thoug !!! Not FULLSCREEN !! It doesn’t look nice in FULLSCREEN →WINDOW MODE

Just want to emphasize that ↑ (not yelling screaming yada yada yada…)

Same on my TV screen, wich has an original AR: 16:9, wich is the norm of tv screens nowdays i asume.

But even changing the Aspect to → Scan AR INPUT ← from my tv in conjuction with custom settings in RA/Core, doesn’t help what so ever!

No, i don’t think it’s something that can be corrected by a flip of an switch on/off !!
But rather some parameters/syntaxes that has to be adjusted in the shaders file…
And i have took an look at it, but i don’t even know where to start making tweaks !

Thanks anyway TD

Major Update 3 : I FINALY NAILED it :kissing_smiling_eyes: :ok_hand:

Just removed video filter overlay, and started to create custom → multipass ← shader , and added the required shaders in the → RIGHT ← order , 1 by 1 … and finaly added my preffered shader as last → to get NEXT LEVEL+++ psx graphics :kissing_smiling_eyes: :ok_hand:

That, and some cropping settings whitin the core needs to set manually to custom vallues too… else these pesky black lines still ocure !!!

BEHOLD… ↓  :ok_hand:

So this issue pretty much bites the dust … ITS IN THE POCKET … nuf said…
