Shaders for old crt TV?

Hey guys. I ran a search for this topic and didn’t find what I was looking for.

I remember seeing this topic talked about before, but I’m trying to find the shader that helps when you are using an old TV instead of a monitor. This is a JVC 13" CRT with a built in VCR. I have it hooked to my Windows 10 system with an HDMI>RF converter.

Channel 3 or it isn’t retro :stuck_out_tongue:

The resolution I am forced to use is 720x480. So I set RetroArch’s aspect ratio to 3:2 and it looks perfect in size.

So what can I do with RetroArch to make it fully utilize the picture I have?

what do you mean? is it not filling the screen?

It fills it with 3:2 as the aspect ratio instead of 4:3 which would only work with 640x480.

I had thought there was a shader some people use with real CRT displays to do something to the picture.

tvout-tweaks can help with stuff like hires pseudo-transparency and can help prevent uneven pixel “shimmering” during scrolling.
