the console is a bit too small in relation to the tv. But I had the same idea :slight_smile:

Thank you very much and thank you to Duimon too. Tried it and the line is not gone completely. Maybe cause i am not on 1080p. I am on 1440p wqhd

It most likely is that. Try to change HSM_BG_POS_X a little more, if you haven’t already.

Another option that wouldn’t require surgery on the background graphic, would be to replicate the background image as the Device layer image. (Just a single text line in the preset.)

Then you could position the device layer and there should be no seam.

Already tried that. The line doesnt disappears completely.

Unfortunately, I don’t understand exactly what you mean.

He means to copy and paste the BackgroundImage to DeviceImage and then change [Device Layer] Position X.

BackgroundImage = "../../img/_Generic/G01_Gray.png"
DeviceImage = "../../img/_Generic/G01_Gray.png"

Edit: I would also recommend a few more changes so that the images match without another line from the Device Layer.

[Position Offset]
    Position X: 17

[Background Layer]
    Position X: 0.95

[Device Image Layer]
    Gamma Adjust: 0.35
    Blend Mode: 2

Edit: So many choices.

[Device Layer]
    Scale X: 100.80

I am away from my computer for the weekend but this seems overly complicated. It may be that there are some scaling options in the original presets that makes it necessary but I won’t be able to look until Monday night.

Take a look and make sure the new Device layer is using Background as the inherited scale. In this case there is no need for any other.

Turns out there is some vignetting on the background layer (Along with some other design choices that @soqueroeu made.) that don’t work with my proposed solution.

In the end it really boils down to the intent of the artist. He obviously didn’t intend for us to move the screen off center so maybe we should just honor his original design.

I personally think they stand well enough on their own.

And after all… we need something to look forward to in v.3.0. :grin:

That’s right!

When I did this work, the idea from the beginning was to create a performance-based package. This has limited a lot of things and why there aren’t severals layered images to manipulate.

Just wanted to use this for streaming and lets play recordings. so i could put my cam to the left and the screen to the right.

You can do this with the viewport position offset

There is a funky vertical line artifact where the tiling is, I should really look into if I can fix that.

@soqueroeu If you separated the TV and the background images you could link the scaling/position of the tv to the tv screen which would allow the tv to be moved separate from the background by adjusting the screen position offset.

@Schwenkman if you’re going to have a video playing on the right, maybe the artifact is something you can live with.

@HyperspaceMadness @soqueroeu in this case, part of the artifact is an imperfection in the source. At least when it comes to the wood. (I say imperfection, but if it is used as intended it is irrelevant.)

For some reason, the Saturn shader can’t be applied. I’m on RetroArch v1.10.3 and the HSM Mega Bezel Shaders are up to date.

Delete [FLAT] from the shader name of TV-Console/Sega_Saturn-[FLAT]

That worked. Thanks for the tip!

@Viridan, wellcome to forum!

Hey Guys, Which version of the Soqueroeu pack are we talking about?

I have the most current one

Sorry guys, I thought I already fixed this. I just adjusted. Anyone who downloads from now, will no longer need to rename files.
