SPI TFT display with Lakka

Hi all,

I’m looking at building a small handheld console, using Lakka as the OS. I was wondering if anyone had been able to use a TFT display with Lakka instead of HDMI? I can get this working on Raspbian but I find it very slow by comparison.

Thanks

I actually just attempted this a couple weeks ago. Tried following Adafruits guide for using TFT with OpenGL (What LAKKA and RetroPie use) but apparently since the latest firmware update to the Raspberry Pi it’s no longer working. I wound up buying a 5" mini HDMI monitor which is working much better but is obviously larger. The refresh rate is much better and the resolution is higher, in addition to being nearly plug and play after changing the resolution in the config.txt file.
