Stuck in Zarch Menu

Hello I am new to the Lakka community and I have come across a certain problem. I was trying out the different menu drivers up to the Zarch one. When the menu loads up I am only able to naviagte through the “Recent” menu and I can’t exit out to go to the settings menu or look at my other roms. I can open the recent saves but none work as I had deleted these saves, so I know my select and back buttons are working (using PS4 controller). I even plugged in a keyboard and it still gives me the same issues. I found out I can reset RetroArch by pressing the escape key but it doesn’t fix anything. I have even edited the retroarch.cfg to go back to the xmb menu but when I restart RetroArch it keeps resetting the cfg file to the Zarch menu. I tried deleting the cfg file too but that had no effect as the new one defaulted to Zarch.

Maybe I am just really tired and I can’t see the solution in front of me so I do apologize if I come across as an idiot for not knowing how to fix this.

I decided that I am going to do a reinstall as my desktop cant even open the Lakka folders anymore.

So far I am greatly enjoying Lakka and this does not taint my experience, as most of the problems I have encountered are due to me playing around with the settings too much haha.

Changing back to menu_driver = “xmb” in your retroarch.cfg is indeed the way to go, but you have to make sure you stop the retroarch process first because if you don’t, any manual changes made to the config get overwritten again when you exit. (The way RetroArch works is it loads the config file into memory at launch and then writes it back to file on exit; so, if you make changes to the file while the original options are still in memory, the original options get written back to file on exit)

I need to patch RetroArch to disable those unfinished menus There should be a configure flag to enable them
