The problem are the bots (even worse now with Ai bots) and trolls. Thatâs why this approval thing is needed to help the forum being clean. I agree with you, when I signed up it was really annoying. But see it this way⌠if someone is really interested, then this is a filter to get only really interested humans through. Overall the forum stays quite clean, so it works. The complains are understandable and its a trade off the maintainers chose.
There is even a thread dedicated to this topic: How can i create a new topic? :/
So if you have any questions, well you have to go through the hoops. It actually doesnât take much time, you just have to follow the âtutorialsâ to earn the rights quickly to do the basic stuff. Until then, you can ask your questions in the How can I create a new topic-topic maybe.

Maybe this has moved to a new thread? I see no one has said anything in a year. 
I havenât been on here much myself in the last little bit, but itâs always heartwarming to come back to these forums, seeing people still share fixes and links and ideas and shaders and memories and stories. So much time and attention from this whole community poured into this thing we love that these people, on their own time, created for everyone, for all of us.
Iâm coming back to see a 10th anniversary badge in my notifications. To see that this has all been part of my life for an entire decade is amazing.
Thereâs no way to say it enough, but âThank you, Libretro!â sincerely.

Retroarch has been a game changer in my retro gaming life. Other than full-blown FPGA simulation (which has a bunch of annoying quirks anyway) Retroarch (and Libretro in general) has been THE BEST experience you can have for perhaps a whole decade now.
Despite the many rough patches and tribulations, Libretro continues to improve and be the best. I wouldnât be surprised if we got PS4 emulation in Retroarch any time soon, thatâs how dedicated folks are to this project.
