First place to start is by getting a log. That will hopefully tell you a little bit more about why it’s failing to load.

@Shockwave So do you recommend removing any Dreamcast BIOS files that had been added previously? I had added them in my last setup, so I’m wondering if I can pull them back out. What was the Lakka version you were using?
You can enable/disable HLE BIOS emulation with a core option. I recommend you keep the BIOS files for the games that need them (there’s a few). I doubt real BIOS vs HLE makes any difference in terms of performance.
