Trying to save shader preset crashes Retroarch

When i try to save a shader preset Retroarch crashes. What i do is i click “Save Shader Preset As”, then write in my desired name, then click enter. Are you supposed to do something else?

It should work. Do the other choices (save as core or global preset) crash as well?

Is the preset actually saved? If so, it’s contents may give a clue.

If you have the “Simple Presets” feature turned on (The default I think.) self referencing can be an issue if you are overwriting an existing preset and using a different case.

If you turn on verbose logging and run Retroarch from a command line window (So the log is still visible after the crash.) it may also help to find the issue.

Alternatively you could just read the contents of the log after. :slightly_smiling_face:

Well yes it does actually get saved. So it is not that severe an issue. Still annoying.

How long is your Shader Preset chain? How long is your combined path of all shader presets that are referenced in the chain and are you trying to overwrite existing presets with the same name when saving?
