Xbox 360 dongle not working out of box with rpi3

Hello! I’ve read that the Xbox 360 dongle and wireless controller should work out of the box without the need of a command line with Lakka devices. Unfortunately, while both controller and dongle turn on, they do not pair. This seems weird to me, as the dongle works with my windows computer. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Edit: Using Rpi3, bluetooth just seems to be a general nuisance… my 8bitdo has trouble connecting and most of the time will outright not work… I had bought a separate usb bluetooth dongle, but I’m not entirely sure how I would get about setting it up. HELP!!! :frowning:

A Good place to start, and troubleshoot with the bluetooth connection.

I’ve read that knock-off 360 dongles do not have good luck with LAKKA and RPi. I have a legitimate M$ dongle on my ODROID C1+ and it pairs flawlessly! However, I also have a bluetooth dongle (since my SBC doesnt have built in bluetooth) and had a dualshock 3 controller paired, but now it only pairs but isn’t passing any button presses along. Not sure if this is due to conflict between configs or what…
