CyberLab Death To Pixels Shader Preset Packs

Thanks, people should be able to express different opinions and speak frankly to one another. It’s even better when they can do that without anyone taking grave offense and even better yet, if one does feel offended that they can still express themselves and talk it out and still remain friends and just move on. I’m sure you realized that even though you didn’t heed my repeated calls and suggestions to read the readme file, which contained virtually all the answers to your questions and was posted verbatim in this same thread which you said you prefer to use vs the readme, I still tried to assist.

I do undertand though that some people are just different, not some but everyone actually, which is the point I was trying to make with @MIKEBLK. That’s why I went on to say that maybe I’m built differently and stuff like that, not because I don’t understand or accept that not everyone is the same but because I know that I’m the way I am when it comes to certain things and certain things might make me feel certain ways too, I think I’m also entitled to be human as it can’t be one sided.

So @ynnad4, I meant no disrespect and I have valued your contributions here over the years. I would hope that we could express differences of opinion, both ways as well as even our frustrations with the way things are done and not done and no personal offence taken but I prefer a world where people can feel safe expressing themselves and the way something makes them feel either way rather than having to bottle it up, gloss over it or express it somewhere else but if I did make you feel disrespected or offended in anyway and you would like me to remove a particular post, feel free and I will.

Do be honest with yourself though as to if there were some things that were said and expressed that could probably have been said in another way.

Then on top of that giving folks misinformation that can only lead to disappointing results down the line when you haven’t grounded yourself properly with the knowledge of what can be done and how to go about doing it? Do you know how much time and effort I have put into this? My hope is for all or at least as many as possible to have a particular experience.

You don’t like the text, I suggested text to speech, was that a problem too? So that’s how it came across as if you were frustrated by the software and by extension me and that’s probably what others looking on might have seen as well.

So I agree, the exchange has been bizarre indeed and ever so often there are examples like this on the thread.

There’s a saying that no good deed goes unpunished but all I did was see you using the old regular bezels and thought that it might be nice if you could have added reflections to it and suggested something that was designed from the ground up to work with stuff that people already had in use.

@ynnad4 brother, dont stop posting here. this thread is all people that are interested in these projects.

I’m extending my hand. If you’re looking for specifics to make the presets look how you want, this is the spot.

i’m new to retroarch and shaders and have a couple of questions about how to properly apply these shaders. i have a 1440p oled display and i’m looking for an hdr crt shader, the miniled ones look good, but do they work properly on oled displays and what’s the difference between the normal one and the “Epic” one? also, should i enable integer scaling when using these?

Have you read the first post and the readme in the Preset pack?

Look through this thread and the Please show off what CRT Shaders can do for photos and screenshots from my various preset packs over the years and that should help answer your question about the differences between preset packs and presets.

The readme files within each preset pack contain detailed setup instructions which you should follow first.

You can use any preset pack on any display. The readme files contain pertinent information on how to configure them to match your particular display and resolution.

Epic is the latest and it uses CRT-Guest-Advanced-NTSC but all of my preset packs contain wonderful presets.
