Duimon - HSM Mega Bezel Graphics and Presets - Feedback and Updates

What game rom are you playing? I can run it and take a look.

Hello, I was using your Gameboy presets as a starting point for my own settings and I can’t find which parameter gets rid of the diagonal lines. I think it’s supposed to simulate a streaky screen but I’m not sure exactly what it’s supposed to be. Thanks!

Also trying to figure out what shader to use for CAVE vertical shooters. Every MAME shader I select keeps flipping the screen. I go into MAME settings and rotate it and it doesnt fix anything.

Arm wrestling (armwrest) on retroarch mame core

Go into the Retroarch settings and set rotation to “Internal”.

It is the “Tube Diffuse” parameter.

Okay. Thank you. I will give it a go.

Couple thing that I find strange. First, I don’t see any moire on my screen. Second, this is a vertical game,

and I see horizontal scanlines in your shot.

Can you take a screenshot instead of a photo please.

Yeah, that was an answer to a different user.

hmmm… still can’t get it to do what i want. all the settings under there effect the brightness/contrast or window size. none of them seem to make the streaks more or less intense.

I don’t see any of my graphics. Which exact preset are you using?

I also don’t see any moire.

It may be a hardware issue. You can try changing mask types and/or BGR/RGB subpixel order.

[quote=“tigerstyle, post:4626, topic:28146”] all the settings under there effect the brightness/contrast or window size. none of them seem to make the streaks more or less intense. The short of it is there is no parameter to get rid of the streaks.

This preset makes good (e.g. complex.) use of the Mega Bezel features. If you start messing with things it will take you by surprise pretty quickly.

The streaks are part of the Tube Diffuse Image, which I borrowed from the Game Boy DMG shader.

If you turn of the Diffuse layer you get this.

If you just want to get rid of the streaks you can load any solid color image you want as the Tube Diffuse image.

Load the preset, save it under a different name, and add the line…

TubeDiffuseImage = "path to your image"

You can start with a sample color from the existing image or play around a bit.

ohhhhh ok, thanks for typing all that up! i use mega bezel for somewhat unorthodox reasons (not for the bezels but because it handles integer scaling in a way more consistent manner between cores than the retroarch settings do) and I also just really liked how your lcd settings look. This should fix my problem.

It is an optional image that can be used for the Tube Diffuse image on my vintage TV presets.

If the intro is left enabled (Default Settings) it will be essentially hidden until the screen turns black during game play.
