Then windowcast core lets us use emulators like xemu with retroarch shaders. I’d would like to see a Xbox themed preset. For now I’m just using this as an overlay

I made an overlay for Batocera. It can be found in the Batocera-bezel repo.

If it works for you, setting it up as a shader preset should be pretty easy for you.

Here is a full background.

I also did an xbox sphere and logo that can be used as assets.

Doing this kind of thing for my Mega Bezel project doesn’t fit into my mission statement. My commitment to Batocera is a bit different.

Hello Duimon Concerning this point, i’ve sent you a DM on Discord (don’t find how to post a message here, maybe not enough rights).

In any case, thanks for your great arts that you share with the community

Hi Duimon. I came to you because I use your Sony PlayStation preset (advance) and I find the scan lines very sharp. Here are examples. And unless my memory fails I have no memory of this rendering. Do you have a solution to soften or refine the image please? I use the core swanstation without any modifications for the moment. thanks in advance.

I’m afraid I can’t be much help. My presets use the default Mega Bezel settings, which are the default Guest ADV settings.

You could open my preset and, using the instructions at the top, change the base preset reference. I believe there are 8 choices.

You can also try playing with the scan line parameters at the end of the parameter list.

You might also try the lite preset which uses an older more simple guest shader.

Hi, i want to use mega bezel shaders. but i just want screen be curved + reflection + bezel i dont want the colors or screen be modified or any scanline or crt plixels or blur. i want screen look normal like default retroarch (there was an option in mega bezel shader that you can compare shader to normal) how can i edit parameters to achieve that?

Load a Mega Bezel preset and go to the [ A/B SPLITSCREEN COMPARE ]: parameter group. (Press “S” to search and type “compare”)

Set the first parameter to “ORIGINAL” (1.00) and the third (Splitscreen Position) to “100.00”.

Then save a CORE, GAME, or CONTENT DIRECTORY preset.

For my presets, since this has come up more than once, I will probably add a local and global override for this.

thanks Duimon , it helped a lot.

Yeah, if this is something someone wants, the passthrough preset as the base preset should help

Agreed. It isn’t in my list of available base presets but adding it would be easier than adding a compare reference. It would also allow for the same thing on presets using LCD-Grid.

* * * The Duimon-Mega-Bezel repo and release are updated to v1.1.5.4. * * *

The Potato repo and release are also updated.

Changes:

  • Added local and global overrides for the PASSTHROUGH base preset. Only the STD and Potato are changed.

** Note! ** - All of the STD and Potato presets have been changed to some extent. If you are using any local override features, you will want to back up your Preset folders before updating so you can migrate your changes after.

The commented instructions in the presets should be pretty clear. If you need more info you can read my Boilerplate_Introduction.md guide.

The Potato repo and release are also updated.

Changes:

  • Fixed misnamed Params folder file extensions that had been lost in the update shuffle. My apologies if anything broke. :innocent:

Uh @Duimon, on my end 1.1.5.4 is Overlay Guide and 1.1.5.5 is the PASSTHROUGH overrides update. I have no clue what is going on with it, just thought you should know.

Not sure what you are referring to… the release descriptions?

At some point I neglected to update the repo before I created a release and things got a little wonky. Everything should be sorted now. At least with the most recent update.

I am referring to the release tags at least according to Github Desktop
