How can i create a new topic? :/

Hm, I want to create a topic in Libretro / Core to ask a question regarding the Beetle PSX Core… but I need to post some other stuff first?

Honestly, I felt very stupid when googling “forums.libretro how to post” but saw no other option…

You can’t create new topics until you’ve reached “trust level 1”, the requirements of which are posted several times in this thread.

However, you can reply to existing topics, like this one, and if you use the forum’s search function, you will likely find a thread that’s at least somewhat related to your question. If not, the time spent searching and skimming topics will likely fulfill your trust level requirements.

So I have to post random sht to create a new topic. Nice.

Need some help here. I got stuttering with snes9x core on 2 windows 10 based PCs (5600x + RTX3080 / 3600x + 5700xt) but on my raspberry pi 4 there is no stuttering and smooth scrolling. (Donkey Kong Country / Super Mario World) Same setting (gl, vsync on, no sound sync)

thanks man had to google this find this one out

Sorry to ruin this thread, but I can not start a new discussion. How to do? I tried for an hour …

Why can’t I open a post?

How many answers should I give before asking? Practically as others say, you have to answer at random and then finally ask.

There are many ways you can reach trust level 1, but even before then you can find threads that relate to your question and post there without needing to make a new thread.

You could even ask your question here on the very slim chance that no one has ever had a related issue.

For years I have not found my questions on the forum I strongly doubt that I will find what I am looking for. Is there the answer? I have NEVER been able to see it, so I open a topic for better reading.

Hi guys, I’ve only just joined the forum after I have been using Retroarch for a while now on my Nvidia Shield. Hope everyone is well? Just wondering if anyone can help with this weird bug that I’ve recently encountered.

I have my Nvidia controller set up so my left trigger button is for loading games and my right trigger button used for saving games. I’ve been using these buttons for a while but recently whenever I play a game the save button is constantly saving even though I haven’t pressed it. I even mapped the button to a different button and still does it. It’s as if I’m constantly pressing the save button even though I haven’t touched it. Have uninstalled and downloaded again and still the same issue. In the end I had to leave these options unmapped so I can play my games. Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks

For those wondering why they cannot create a new topic.

Every time I see this thread popup it brings a smile to my face.

Can someone please tell me how to start a post on this here forum?!? How do you start a thread here? Do I need to wait until my account has been verified? If so, the welcome email never mentions it.

I can however reply to topics already started.

Thanks.

Seemingly yes if you dont comment on existing posts, you cannot make your own.

I am having a problem with my controller. I am trying to play Atari 2600 on the Stella core. I am using a Stelladaptor (2600 to USB Adapter) with a real Atari 2600 joystick. In Retroarch it is showing device type as RetroPad. The problem is whenever I hit the fire button it resets the game instead of firing. In Retroarch by default it is setting Reset Auto: 0 and there seems to be no way to remove this default mapping and changing it so the only fire button on the joystick (no start or select buttons on these old school joysticks) maps to Fire. Does anyone know how I can do this please - posting here as unable to create a new topic to ask for help for some bizarre reason!

When you plug in your controller and it says “blahblah gamepad configured”, what’s the name it says?

Do you mean in RetroArch? In Device Index it is showing as: Stelladaptor 2600-to-USB Interface Device Type is showing RetroPad

Yes, in RetroArch. From the notification that pops up when you plug it in.
