More excellent work with the Blast City and Namco cabs!

Would be terrific to see a Taito Egret 2 overlay added to your Japanese candy cab assortment.

hi im new here, can i use this for retroarch?

Yes you could because Retroarch allows for overlays, but you’d have to set the overlays up for Retroarch.

you can, but seems darker than the one in the standalone mame…and in retroarch i’m using the shader geom, while mame don’t have any shader (i think)

ive managed to set up John Merrit’s overlay to work, is it as simple as that?

Yeah back in the day I used them with Retroarch as well. You just need the png image of the bezel and a cfg file for it in the same folder. Then just add the bezel from within Retroarch.

For example if you use the Rygar bezel you’d have the Rygar.png file and you would have this in the Rygar.cfg file,

overlays = 1

overlay0_overlay = rygar.png

overlay0_full_screen = true

overlay0_descs = 0

I don’t know why the bezels would do that. The shader might be making it darker.

alright it works, is there a way to let retroarch figure out the aspect ratio? some overlays i have are incompatible with any aspect ratio options

That’s the main issue with having these bezels on Retroarch. The bezels have all different sized screens. You have to manually set up the size of the screen for each game to use with that bezel. That would be so tedious. Plus you’d have to figure out how to save the video settings for each bezel so when that particular game is opened up it knows which bezel to use and it has the right screen size setting for that particular bezel.
