My Realistic Arcade Bezels

As a side note: MAME Classic with BGFX/CRT-GEOM shader applying a 0.5 vertical tilt. This is very inspiring, many thanks!

Of course only experimental. I am also wondering whether this triggers a performance hit.

Definitely I will, a pleasure. It is a workaround currently, but nice to try. Please bear with me, it will take me til mid next week to be back on my Mac.

Okay, no problem. Thank you.

Could you add these to the Chase HQ overlays please mate

Thanks again for these wonderful Bezels.

Can anyone tell me which settings they use for use of these Bezels in Retroarch for Android ? Especially how to get the curved screen ?

I’ve added one bezel to my Android Retroarch for testing. First I had selected the “integer scaler” option in the video settings, which puts the game inside the bezel, but then the game is too small. So when you turn that off, you have to manually resize the video screen, but it takes forever to set a custom screen size.

I don’t know Retroarch enough, but I hope there’s maybe a magic setting that fills the bezel with the game video to the maximum. So almost like the integer scaler, but a bit bigger. So maybe when integer scaler is enabled, you can adjust the integer scaler to be bigger ?

Can anyone help me ? Thanks in advance.

Hello Orionsangel.

Can I request Gals Panic ?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I’ve been thinking about doing this game for a while. I even have an unofficial bezel for it. Last time I checked though Gal Panic wasn’t working right for me on Mame, but it might be the copy of my rom. I just checked it’s working fine. I hope Youtube doesn’t flag it though if it’s too serialized.

Ok. Looking forward to it.

By the way, I’ve managed to get the curved screen in Retroarch Android by using the shader “crt-geom”.

That only leaves the question how to speed up the resizing. Because as it is now, when you turn of the integer scaler option, the game video jumps all the way to the left and you have to bring it all the way back to the right position, which takes forever, and that’s only the positioning part, so after that you need to also resize the width and height.

When the integer scaler option is on, the video is perfectly in the middle of the “cabinet’s tv”. There must be a way to not have the video jump all the way to the left when you disable the integer scaler.

I hope some expert can help me. Thanks in advance.

Oh, I hate when it puts the screen to the left and you gotta slowly move it and adjust the size. I always hoped they would speed that up in future Retroarch updates, but they haven’t.

I made the Gal Panic bezels. I’m not sure when I’m releasing them though. Gotta make sure the footage isn’t sexualized. Youtube is very strict about sexual related content. Also the Gal Panic II rom seems messed up. It has the red screen before booting up.

Thanks !!! Looking forward to it !!!
