These are nice overlays! But what other crt shader with curvature would you suggest for use on Pi4? Guest’s shader is too demanding (at least for use with Sega CD which I’m currently playing), and these overlays are obviously designed with a curved screen in mind.

take your time! Im old, i understand the value of time very acutely. Especially with toddlers running around.

I’m just ocd. I dont like to mix and match overlays, I like to keep it all the same style which leaves very few options since i have a playlist for pretty much every single console and handheld made in NA that retroarch can emulate :stuck_out_tongue:

I like to mantain a standard too, and the overlays are made according to the console display res. Only for arcade and systems above 320px I use 1440 x 1080, and for PC I use 1280 x 960.

Hi again, I actually did not (know of his overlays) but I’ll certainly take a look today! Thank you for pointing me that way.

And thanks for the others you’ve added between then and now.

I’ve been largely using orionsangels overlays for the consoles, as he has one for just about everything. I think I recall 1 being missing, maybe neogeocd I had to source. It’s been awhile.

Unfortunately they aren’t 4K and they’re a little busy for my tastes now.

I’ve set up a pretty nice big box setup to couch game and I’m trying to get it looking as polished and uniform as I can which is what put me back on the overlay hunt.

Wish I could help but my photoshop is ultra rudimentary. (If that’s even what you use to make overlays lol. Illustrator maybe?)

I’m only familiar with what i was able to find via google, or to a lesser extent emumovies submissions.

much of that has been mame centric or in small pieces.

at this point im looking for something

A) comprehensive or very close to it

B) a bit more simple

C) 4k

checking all those boxes is a tall order im sure. I imagine creating overlays takes a fair amount of time and a lot of people are only motivated to create them for platforms they use themselves.

add in the fact that plenty of people are not using 4k yet, or stick to integer or non integer scale and it makes finding a nice set rough.

Almost even considered something generic to cover the retro consoles if i could find an equivalent for the handhelds.
