I have no screenshots to post atm, as I’m just getting back into messing with shaders, just finished reading like 600-800 back-posts in this thread (so there went like 3hrs of my life :rofl:) guess I’ve been gone for 2 years or so :sweat_smile:

Anyway, going to mess with the new toys see what I can get to stick and then I’ll start hacking at code like a silly monke, seems @DariusG really came into his own working on shaders :partying_face::partying_face:

Well now that I’ve pinged half the old regulars and contributed nothing to chat, I’m going to go play with shaders now.

Its the only thing running fast enough on my tablet that I’m happy with the core code base for.

That’s fake-CRT-geom glsl on top, mask type “LCD”, it draws a line every source pixel :wink:

Not so fake actually, filter is a bit of lanczos style. fake-CRT-geom-potato too not that fake, it’s using a precalculated Kaiser window filter lol

crt-royale-downsample (new preset in slang repo) running FF7 with 4x Internal Res. It can be used with any internal res above 2x.

Using Cyberlab shader on a large 4k monitor (42", 18" viewing distance).

224 line content appears to have really large scanlines, approx half the picture. 480 line content looks as I’d expect.

I don’t recall large scanlines that took up half the screen on PSX games. Is this how CRTs actually looked on lower-res content, or is there a setting I’m missing somewhere?

That’s just how CRTs work with 240p content.
