I was thinking of doing the same thing with Gameboy and Gameboy Color as I did with the Advance. The problem is I will have to make a led light first. These are essentially designed to look like the handhelds are held right up to your face.

I think I have the final product for the bezel with multiple different slight adjustments. Feedback is welcome.

Edit: Had the fun time of learning the importance of Inherit Scale between layers. Had to make a few adjustments to the preset settings.

Me being crazy , I cropped out as much of Duimon’s GBA SP Graphic as possible than changed the Background.

This looks like an old Samsung (or was it a Sharp) that I was very familiar with back in the days!

I think I found a similar model, it’s a Samsung TC3856TB. There is one on sell on eBay here in the US, https://www.ebay.com/itm/124644291454.

Found another one that is way closer to it, Samsung TC9865TB, either way I think its a Samsung.

Now that I have the graphics done and the preset settings done, I should get the files done pretty quick.

I have added the Gameboy Color Monitors to the repo. I had to redo the images since they were so large in size, live and learn.

I added the Gameboy as well. This is the last thing I am going to be posting for a while. I am going to be away until the 8th, I am still going to check in.

Edit: I have found a solution to the “problem” with the Battery light and I will fix it later, with a small circle. I should specify that the fix is just to place a small circle under the LED on the CAB GLASS layer. The battery light can then be brightened and darkened by changing the Brightness of the CAB GLASS layer. It also creates the look of the DMG Gameboy with a ring around it.

I had an aha moment with the SP Monitor. I thought it would be better to set the GBA Bezel to Tube Colored Gel Image. I than used the bezel and frame for the shell. I threw one together quick for a POC and a look to what to expect. There is going to be a background image but I haven’t decided on what it will be yet.

Edit: After messing around for a little while, I think I have close to what the final product will be. The image doesn’t have the background or logo yet.

I have finished the GBA SP Monitor template with some possible touch ups here and there later. I ended up setting the background as the side of a gba game box. The background did come out a little different, but still good, than I thought from copying and merging a lot of layers.

I should also note that I am using the Pearl Blue SP because that is the one I have.

Edit: Changed the background to a custom gradient designed after the box.

With a little tweaking here and there it has gotten better.

Edit: Now it is set so the frame looks like the top of the shell.

Would anybody be interested in Gameboy Pocket style “Monitor”? I am thinking about entertaining it.

Now I have been messing with the Gameboys a decent amount, I have the size I would like to have them. I will be updating the Gameboy and Gameboy Color to use the size and add their decal if necessary.

Learning from @Duimon, I am going to have to create a “special” device so I can keep a curved look of the edge. It is just a prototype right now and will get shaped properly. Just trying to eek out as much work as possible before I leave today.

I am back. I have been messing with the positioning of the graphics and I am close to getting the final positioning for the GBC. I am not going to be including the buttons since these are supposed to be “Monitor” presets.

Edit: I have the “Final” Product for the GBC and it’s on to GB next, which is just a slight few changes.

I got the Gameboy essentially done as well. I am going to be running through the GB, GBC and GBA shaders for any possible changes than upload them tomorrow.

Edit: made a few slight changes to Gameboy and added the Decal.

I have made the changes to the shaders. I changed the GBA frame to match closer with its bezel, GB and GBC changes deal with the LED and GB Decal position was changed and I recreated it with text.

I will need a little time to do all the color variations.
