Hgoda90 - Mega Bezel Graphics + Varieties

I have been messing around with an alternative for the 4x3 Glass variation. I will be mostly likely doing the settings for 16x9 variations as well.

@HyperspaceMadness, if you look at the bottom of the image you can see there is a problem with the ground, in the reflection. It shows when the Screen Black Thickness is set above 100.

Do you mean how it seems to be showing something different than the area to the left or right of frame?

Yeah. It’s how it is uneven.

Weird things happen in the potato when the Black Line is turned up also (I forget what right now.)

Correct me if I am wrong but I think the Black Line isn’t even supposed to work on the Potato (And maybe not on the glass.)

There are a few other parameters related to the bezel (Like independent curvature.) that effect the way the potato screen renders.

I’m not suggesting in any way that this be changed (Just making you aware.) because it makes it possible to use ADV parameters in the potato, let the shader ignore some, and get identical output.

My advice to hgoda90 would be to just not turn it up past 100 and accept the limitation.

I went ahead and got rid of the Screen Black Edge all together. I was letting Hyperspace know because I didn’t know if it was specifically a bug or not.

Edit: I think found out what the problem was and I don’t think it was a bug. My idea is that it was because the scaling was high so it was interacting with the line that would have split the other “screens”. I will stay away from doing anything similar in the future than.

I have added SAS (Smooth-Advanced-Standard) variations to OrionsAngel’s non-Arcade Overlays. I also changed the Smooth Bezel settings around.

I have found that I set the GBA preset of the Glass variations aspect ratio wrong. I will be fixing it, changing the DS Horizontal preset, changing the DS and 3DS Console Arcade variations’ colors and creating the Alt Glass variations for 4x3 and 16x9 presets in the next repo commit.

I have added the changes to the repo.

The Nintendo DS color variations I selected, as stated before, were the color variations for the DSi. The Nintendo 3DS color variations I selected:

I am going to get the Split-Screen variations setup and I will most likely be posting them to the repo next. I already have decided on the structure of the folders, ie PVM20 – Split-Screen 01/Default-[Horizontal].slangp.

Messing around with the Glass variations and I thought it would be cool to have the Screen Reflection Scale small, so that there are many small squares in the reflection.

I am going to go ahead and add the two new variations I came up with to Glass, mini and focus. I will be adding the Split-Screen after, of course. Creating the Split-Screen is going to be mainly copy + paste with some small editing.

The new Glass variations have been added to the repo with old variations renamed to Full.

Edit: I forgot to add the params files to the repo.

I have added some of the PVM20 and TM20 Split-Screen variations to Duimon’s Graphics in the repo. I will be doing the ones for the handhelds as Split-Screen but the 3DS and DS ones will be set as just PVM20 and TM20.

Just thought about the PVM20 variation of Vertical Nintendo 3DS. I am just wanting to know if anybody would like it as a selection. As an fyi, I am currently translating the colors of the standard variations to the pvm20 and tm20 presets.

Edit: Messing with this, I thought I could use them as an alternative to the Horizontal Split-Screen variations.

Whoa, that’s interesting looking. Nice idea.

Had a few more “ideas”:

  1. Remove Custom folder
  2. Rename Glass to Mega Bezel Glass
  3. Make old Console Arcade style alternative as Stripe, with changes
  4. Create 16x9 variations of Duimon PS2

I did toy around with a Vertical Tower idea but that wouldn’t look right with the Decal being too stretched.

I have updated the params for the PVM20 Split-Screen variations of Duimon’s Graphics

Looking good! The second image here begs the question, can you eliminate the bezel in the center and have the images rejoin in the middle?

It’s possible to have the screens come together in the middle. The problem is the Decal Layer won’t merge in a proper way.

I was wanting to go more of the individual pvm20/tm20 for both players way.

I went ahead and removed the Custom folder from the repo and renamed Glass to Mega Bezel Glass.
