Great, feel free to ask questions in the thread if you’re having any issues. Remember the Mega Bezel Preset Pack needs Mega Bezel Reflection Shader v1.14.0, while the very first Megatron Preset pack requires the version of CRT-Guest-Advanced-NTSC which is listed and linked to below the download link. It’s installed into the default installation folder for CRT-Guest-Advanced-NTSC.
The Megatron NX and later preset packs a different version of CRT-Guest-Advanced-NTSC, which is also liked below the download link. For these the CRT-Guest-Advanced-NTSC goes into its own standalone folder in Shaders_Slang/ so as not to interfere with the default CRT-Guest-Advanced-NTSC or vice versa.
From my W420M preset pack onwards, the CRT-Guest-Advanced-NTSC shader is included with the proper folder structure so you only need to copy everything in the zip to your Shaders folder.
My W420M SDR presets are all Shadow/Dot Mask and look best using the custom integer scaling/aspect ratio settings, I’ve listed in their filenames.
Beware of the changes made to the Scaling section of the newest nightly versions of RetroArch. I’ve found some of my Scaling settings and Overrides to be not working as they used to.
Any shader preset with IV OLED in the filename would also work well on any BGR display. Set the Mask Layout to RGB if using an RGB Subpixel Layout display.
Any 4K “HDR” preset should also work properly on a bright enough SDR display if the SDR/HDR toggle is set to SDR and the display’s brightness/backlight/contrast is maxed out.
For other display resolutions just adjust the “Display’s Resolution” parameter.
For my CRT-Royale Shader Preset Pack, you can adjust the “Mask -Triad Size Desired” parameter to suit other resolution displays. There are notes in the included readme.txt stating how to do this.
Do note that when the Blargg NTSC Video Filter Presets are applied, it appears to disable or diminish the smoothing effect of the included Super-XBR shader so you might find that some of the presets look cleaner and smoother without the custom Blargg NTSC Video Filter Presets enabled.
I think that’s about it for now. I could say more but there’s a lot already said in the first post of my thread and elsewhere in the thread as well.
